My name is Christian Hewitt and was born in Salford,I attended Ellesmere park high school and the Eccles college, before going to study dentistry at Glasgow University.
I graduated in 1991 and joined Walkden Dental & Implant Clinic in 1993,and a couple of years later became principal dentist along with mike Higgins.over the year we developed the practice, adding more clinicians to our team and more specialisms. From then until present I have continued to enjoy helping our patients with all their dental needs and I hope providing an excellent standard of service and care.

Simon Betts was educated at St Ambrose School in Manchester. His interest in dentistry began after sustaining a dental injury during a school rugby game. Simon studied Dentistry at Liverpool University and qualified in 2011. Following qualification Simon undertook further training in general dental practices in Leeds and Hull. During this time Simon gained invaluable experience in general dental work and a special interest in aesthetic dentistry and treating anxious patients.
Simon commenced work at The Walkden Dental Practice in 2016. He has very much enjoyed working at this practice which he has found to have excellent facilities and provide exceptionally good standards of dental care.
Simon has undertaken a wide range of postgraduate training and carries out all aspects of general dentistry including emergency assessments, crowns, veneers, white fillings, root canal treatment, tooth whitening and clear ‘Invisalign’ braces. He endeavors to provide an excellent level of care for all his patients, with a friendly, calming manner.
Away from the dental practice Simon continues to enjoy playing rugby for his local club and attending rugby fixtures at Sale Sharks. He likes keeping fit, competing in triathlons and going hill walking with his wife Bridie. In 2014 he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2016 he completed an Ironman Triathlon with one of his brothers.

Lucy offers a calm and gentle approach to her dentistry, and her bubbly personality puts her patients at ease. She was the proud winner of ‘Young Dentist of the Year 2016’ Award for the North West category. She has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys offering her patients a range of treatments including Invisalign braces.
Interests: Keen ballet dancer and regularly attends her local academy of dance as well as spending time with friends and family.

Away from work has many interests: reading, music, theatre, gardening, and sport both as a spectator and participant. Has a season ticket as Sale Sharks, the local Premiership rugby union team, plays tennis and enjoys lots of fitness activities.

Moved into general practice, and has worked in Preston and Chorley. Regularly attends courses and keeps up to date by reading journals, therefore continuing to expand knowledge base.

Nicola undertook further training in MaxilloFacial Surgery, Oral Surgery and Community/Special Care dentistry before moving to work in General Practice. She completed the MDFS post-graduate qualification with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
She enjoys the variety of different work that working in general dentistry offers. Her aim is to provide high quality work in a relaxing and calm environment incorporating each individual patient’s opinion and thoughts into their treatment plans.

Rachel qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist in 2007 and has been part of the team at Walkden since 2008. She works well with all patients, but she particularly enjoys trying to help those with dental anxiety to feel more comfortable and involved with their dental treatment.
Rachel is also a dental hygiene and therapy tutor at The Greater Manchester school for Dental Care Professionals.
She is a member of the BSDHT and BADT and keeps up to date with her professional development.
She enjoys travelling and spending time with her family. She is a keen bread baker.

I am originally from Canada, moved to the UK in 2004. After qualifying in Canada as a dental assistant my passion was always to deliver oral health to patients. In 2005 I attended the Greater Manchester School for Professions Complementary to Dentistry gaining a diploma in dental hygiene (honours) and therapy. After working in both private, specialist and NHS settings I furthered my knowledge gaining a deeper understanding of the subjects earning a BSc (Hons) in Dental Studies from The University of Central Lancashire in 2013.
My passion is treating patients with mild to severe periodontal disease (gum disease) while helping them learn the importance of improving and maintaining their oral health. In particular, I enjoy treating those patients who have not attended the dentist in many years for various reasons including fear and anxiety. Through a personalised treatment plan I can help patients improve their gum health.
In my spare time she enjoys going on family holidays, running and scrapbooking.

My interests are horse riding, I own / have owned pony’s & horses since 2006. I have been riding since 2005 and have been professionally trained in dressage for the last 7 years, I have represented the country on many occasions too. When I am not training with the horses I really enjoy climbing / walking up mountains with my boyfriend & friends.

Hello, my name is Jenna Heaton, and since 2002 I've been practising as a dental nurse at Walkden Dental & Implant Clinic. I qualified as a dental nurse in 2003 and have since enjoyed looking after patients from the local area. During this time, I have developed long term relationships with patients, priding myself on my personnel approach to my work. I find this helps patients feel comfortable and at ease while having treatment.
I further developed my dentistry skills in children's oral health and fluoride application in 2009. I find this brings me great satisfaction as I can ensure children make the right start in life when it comes to their teeth. Also, my skillset and experience have been broadened further in supporting the implantology team here at Walkden Dental & Implant Clinic, transforming peoples smiles and confidence.

Working with the hygienist means seeing patients on a more regular basis therefore creating a long term relationship with them. Emma is a very approachable and friendly person and is able to put all out patients at ease during their time at the practice.
Outside of work Emma has an active family life with two young children. Emma is also a horse owner which takes up a lot of her spare time but with any free time she enjoys to go hiking or biking.

I have been a member of the reception team for 11 years now, I enjoy welcoming and getting to know our patients. I pride myself in keeping up to date with policies and attending regular meetings to ensure I work to the highest standard and put patients first. I enjoy the challenges that working in a fast paced environment brings.

I was welcomed by all at Walkden Dental Practice in 2016 where I joined the team as a receptionist. I have built good relationships with my colleagues and I love the family work environment the practice has.

I have been a receptionist at Walkden dental practice for over 18 years, I have 1 son, 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy going for days out and spending time with family and friends and also love being in the garden. I am a soap addict ( much to my husbands disgust) and love a good drama, not my own I might add on TV only and I love reading. During my time at Walkden dental practice I have met the most amazing patients who make every single working day an enjoyable one and now have a very large extended family. It comes natural to me to want to help people and put their needs first. I have been there long enough to recognize a lot of voices over the telephone and are able to put a name to the voice without being told which sometimes amazes the patients who ask “ how did you know?” “how did you do that?” which makes me smile. I have seen children grow up and have children of their own, and the feeling of being recognised and appreciated both inside and outside of work is heart warming and the biggest reward ever.

I worked as a trainee dental nurse after leaving school and qualified in 2006. I have 17 years of experience working in various dental practices as a dental nurse and receptionist. I Joined Walkden Dental Practice in 2015 as a receptionist and completed first aid training in the workplace in 2019.
I enjoy helping nervous adults and children feel at ease when coming to the dentist and In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music and going on long walks.
With having over ten years experience in a customer facing role, Naomi is very well experienced in making you feel welcome and comfortable when visiting our practice.
She takes pride in being a happy, organized and helpful member of the team. Naomi moved up from Bristol in 2018 and is looking forward to becoming a first-time mum in the near future.
